1. When does the House League Soccer Season begin?
The 2010 House League Soccer Season will begin the week of April 26, 2010 with All team's practicing. All U8 teams, U10 teams, U12 Teams, U15 Teams and U18 Teams will start games the week of May 3, 2010. All U4 teams and U6 Teams will start Games the week of May 10, 2010. The season will end Sunday, August 8. 2010 with the LaSalle Stompers Soccer Festival. (Day of Champs)
2. When are practice and game schedule final?
All practice times are set-up at the coaches meeting on April 17, 2010. ALL practices are at the discretion of the coach with respect to day and time fields are available.Game schedules will not be established until April 17, 2010. Soccer games are scheduledMonday thru Thursday for all division most team playing one game each week. Once the game schedules are FINAL all schedules will be posted on the website under the Recreational Program tab.
3. When are division and teams final?
Once registration is completed, players will be assigned to division and teams based on registration numbers for each age group. The size of the league prevents the club from being able to manage any special requests for specific coaches or to play with other children. 4. How are players contacted at the start of the season?
Once teams and schedules have been finalized about April 17, 2010, your child’s coach will contact you by telephone and or email. Your coach will notify you of your team name, Coaches name, game schedule, practice schedule and practice field location. On or after April 17, 2010, but before April 25, 2010.Please write your Coach’s name and phone number down for reference purposes.If you have not been contacted by April 26, 2010, please contact the appropriate Recreational soccer League convenor. 5. What happens if my child is placed on a waitlist for his/her age division?
If registration becomes full, and you wish your child to be placed on a waitlist for their specific age division, you will be required to read and fill-out a registration form, sign the waiver on the registration, and leave payment (preferably by cheque) for the $160 registration fee. You will NOT be placed on a waitlist without payment. Your cheque will not be cashed until you have been notified by the club that your child has been placed into the House League Soccer program.
6. Where is the House League soccer season played?
All games will be played at the Vollmer soccer fields. All practice will be held at one of two places Vollmer soccer fields and or Prince Andrew school fields.
7. What equipment must I provide for my child to play soccer?
Your player will receive a soccer shirt, shorts and socks (included in registration fee) from their coach. Each player must come equipped withshin guardsand although recommended soccer shoes (cleats) are optional.
8. What do I do if I want to coach or volunteer for the LSSC?
LaSalle Stompers Soccer Club is always in need of individuals to assist in the many tasks and duties that are required to operate the soccer club before and during the soccer season.If you could spare some of your valuable time to help the LaSalle Stompers Soccer Club, we would greatly appreciate your help. The players, coaches, and other volunteers would also greatly appreciate your help. Whether it be for a couple of hours at a given time or a set amount of time each week, we could use your skills and talents.

9. As a parent, do I have a responsibility to my child's team?
We hope that all team members will participate in making the most of the soccer season. Please offer to assist your coach, even if not asked. There are many roles on a team that can be fulfilled, such as, snack coordinator, team mom (or dad), team manager, etc. You also have a responsibility to communicate with other parents and help workout issues that may develop through the season. Convenor are available to provide guidance to team members based on their experience.
10. How can I contact the LSSC Board members and Convenors?
Please rememberAll LSSC Board members and Coaches are volunteers who have a full time job outside of LSSC. We realize that your specific situation or request is important to you, but please realize these members are dealing with close to 1800 players and cannot always support your request.To contact the LSSC Board Members click on General > Contact > and the name of the board member. To contact the Recreational Program Convenors click on House League > convenors > then click on the convenor for your child's division.
11. Field status light - YELLOW
The yellow light will be lit for up to 30 minutes. Please, along with your family, make your way to your vehicle. We are asking that you remain there, until the board members have reached a decision. Green light, games will resume and red light, the games are cancelled and will be re-scheduled. The decision will be made with the new thunder-lightning system that has been purchased.
12. Field status light - RED
Please do not waste any time chatting with your players and coaches. Find your children and make your way to your vehicle. 13. Emergency FIRST AID is needed on one of the fields.
The emergency field phone number is to be used by coaches to get a hold of the clubhouse ONLY when Emergency FIRST AID is needed on one of the fields. This phone is NOT to be used for the coaches to get info on a game or a question about refs.
